Here's the major events that happened this past weekend, 10/16/09 thru 10/18/09

Robbery

10/18/2009 West C-Shift, Patrol
7201 Hwy 70 South, Daily's Shell Market, 12:41 a.m. A White Male entered the store wearing a green sweat shirt and a black ski mask. He demanded money. Clerk gave the suspect money from the register. He fled to a 4 door black SUV which was driven by a second suspect, description unknown.

107 Acklen Park Dr. #205 10-18-09, 1:00 a.m. The victim reported that as she was getting her belongings out of her car, the suspect approached her and asked her for money. She refused and ignored him. Suspect pulled out a knife and demanded money. Victim gave suspect $30.00. Suspect hit victim in the face with his fist and then fled the scene on foot. Suspect is described as a B/M 5-10 250 in his 30's.


Residential Burglary

10/16/2009 West A-Shift, Patrol
49## Wyoming Ave., Victim returned home from work to find her back door kicked in and the following items are missing, electronics missing, T.V., laptop computer, silver necklace. I.D. called to the scene, but was unable to lift any prints.

10/16/2009 West C-Shift, Patrol
14## Tremont Ave, 8pm.-12:45a.m. The victim returned home and found his T V and computer missing. The back door was left unlocked. 09-838657


10/16/2009 West B-Shift, Patrol
3901Whitland Ave apt ##, It's uncertain how suspects gained entry, items taken include, a guitar, ivory necklace and some other jewelry items. The complainant saw two male whites leave the house in a 90's model Honda-type vehicle, tan in color. The suspects were approximately 18-22 yrs of age.












Larcenies

10/16/2009 West A-Shift, Patrol
2535 Franklin Pike. Steel Biz Inc., complainant reported that unknown suspects removed a large steel beam from the side parking lot of the business. The owner reported that the steel beam/stair runner was at the location on yesterdays date but was missing this morning.


10/17/2009 West A-Shift, Patrol
2131 Abbott Martin Road, victim reports the theft of a brown leather wallet containing a bank debit card, victim's drivers license and social security card. Victim also believes the wallet to be stolen while shopping at Kroger in Green Hills. The victim’s debit card has been used at several gas stations. No suspects at this time.


10/18/2009 West A-Shift, Patrol
40# Old Hickory Blvd. The victim reported that she believes her ex-husband broke into her car and stole the ampliphier out of her car, the speakers and then broke the driver’s side door window.

193 Belle Valley Dr. Victim reports that someone broke the passenger side window. No items were known to be taken at time of report. There are no known suspects. Officer attempted to lift prints.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Undercover detectives, assigned to the department’s precincts, charged 94 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.
South Precinct detectives charged 20 persons this week as a result of investigations on Lafayette Street, Largo Drive, Lewis Street, and Fairfield Avenue. Seized were one gram of cocaine, 64 grams of marijuana and one vehicle.
Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 16 persons this week as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Smith Springs Road, and Lewis, Lafayette, and Claiborne Streets. Seized were 2.1 grams of cocaine, 15 grams of marijuana and 27 various pills.
West Precinct detectives charged 30 persons as the result of investigations on 12th Avenue South at Summit Avenue, Jefferson Street at 27th Avenue North, 26th Avenue North at Heiman Street, Henry Ford Drive at Annex Avenue, the 6600 block of Charlotte Pike, and Hillside Avenue. Seized were 463 grams of marijuana, 79.1 grams of cocaine, one vehicle and $951 cash.
North Precinct detectives charged 14 persons as the result of investigations on Gallatin Pike, Ewing Creek Drive, Buchanan Street, Anderson Road, and Old Hickory Boulevard. Seized were 163.6 grams of cocaine, five grams of marijuana, two vehicles and $1,270 cash.
East Precinct detectives charged seven persons as a result of investigations in the James Cayce public housing development, and on Litton Avenue, Dickerson Pike, and Trinity Lane. Seized were 1.5 grams of cocaine, .1 grams of methamphetamine and two Xanax pills.
Central Precinct detectives charged seven persons as the result of investigations on 10th Avenue North, and North 1st, Oldham, Cowan, and Jefferson Streets. Seized were 43 bottles of untaxed alcohol, a small amount of marijuana and $340 cash.
Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
